Checklist
- Confirm the domain name and service plan are correct in WHMCS.
- Update nameservers at the registrar if DNS will be hosted on the new server.
- Log in to cPanel from the client area or the direct cPanel URL.
- Create required email accounts before changing MX records.
- Upload website files or install software with Softaculous, SitePad, or WP Toolkit.
- Issue a Let's Encrypt SSL certificate after DNS points to the server.
- Test the site, email sending, email receiving, and contact forms.
- Set backup expectations and confirm how restores are requested.
Before DNS changes
Lower the DNS TTL several hours before a migration when possible. Export the old DNS zone, note existing MX, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, TXT verification, and third-party records, then recreate them before changing nameservers.

- Confirm the service, domain, invoice, and contact email in the client area.
- Save support links and understand which login is for WHMCS, cPanel, WHM, webmail, WordPress, or server root.
- Turn on two-factor authentication where available.
- Keep a current backup before major changes.
