Steps
- Log in to WHM.
- Open Create a New Account.
- Enter the primary domain, username, password, and contact email.
- Select a package or manually set limits if package editing is allowed.
- Choose DNS settings and mail routing.
- Create the account and save the login details securely.
Naming rules
Use a username that is short, unique, and not a reserved system name. Avoid changing cPanel usernames after production use unless you understand the effect on paths, databases, email, and scripts.
After creation
Test DNS, SSL, email, and login access. For resellers, confirm the account appears under the correct reseller owner.
Operational notes
Customers use cPanel for one hosting account. Resellers and server owners use WHM for account-level administration. Root WHM changes can affect every customer, so test high-impact changes carefully.
